Job summary

Gridlines, a rapidly growing financial modelling consultancy, is seeking an experienced Manager to lead a team of modelling professionals in creating robust financial models for strategic decisions. You will manage a portfolio of active assignments and engage with clients to translate commercial needs into actionable modelling outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of relevant experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting.
• Strong analytical skills with proven experience in building and operating financial models using Excel.
• Experience leading a modelling team and training junior members.
• Ability to discuss commercial issues with clients and reflect them in models.
• Experience in developing assumptions, parameters and scenarios to ensure model robustness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of active assignments.

• Develop and refine assumptions, parameters, and scenarios under guidance of Senior Managers.
• Discuss commercial issues with clients and ensure they are accurately reflected in the model.

• Contribute to development and enhancement of modelling methodologies and tools.
• Prepare comprehensive model documentation detailing assumptions, methodologies, and results.

We are seeking an experienced Manager that is passionate about financial modelling and driven by growth. You will work with a team of modelling professionals to create, analyse, and optimize complex financial models, ensuring they are robust and reliable.

Requirements

Operations:

• Managing a portfolio of active assignments
• Lead in the creation and optimization of comprehensive financial models to support strategic decision-making
• Develop and refine assumptions, parameters, and scenarios under the guidance of Senior Managers to ensure model robustness and reliability

• Lead a team of modelling professionals
• Train, motivate and manage junior team members on assignments
• Collaborate closely with team members, learning and contributing to assignmentsCommunicate model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams
• Simplify complex financial model issues to make them understandable for non-technical stakeholders

Growth:

• Support in the business development and growth ambitions of a key sector of the business
• Lead in the development of client pitches
• Lead client calls and build client relationships

• 5-6 years of relevant experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting
• A good appreciation of accounting concepts; an accounting qualification is beneficial
• An in-depth understanding of Project Finance, Corporate Finance, or Financial Planning concepts
• Strong analytical skills with proven experience in building and operating financial models using Excel
• Degree qualified in a numerate discipline, with a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance beneficial
• Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard is desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
