Job summary

A leading logistics company in Bhiwandi seeks a Manager for MegaGW Operations. The successful candidate will manage manpower planning, ensure compliance with SOPs, and drive operational metrics. This role involves facilitating communication across teams and implementing best practices for process improvements. Candidates should have a strong background in operations management and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the manpower planning & shift rostering as per the load projections and productivity targets.
  • Ensures compliance to SOPs, facility 5S and overall upkeep of the facilities.
  • Monitors vehicle connections, availability, and timely unloading/loading of vehicles.
  • Plans ad-hoc vehicle requirements based on load profile and coordinates with fleet.
  • Maintains service levels and ensures performance metrics.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination with different teams.
  • Drives metrics in inbound, outbound, floor operations, quality metrics, and first mile metrics.
  • Focuses on HR-related KRA - Diversity Hiring, employee morale, and safety.
  • Mentors and builds capabilities of team members.
  • Explores process improvement opportunities and drives them to closure.
  • Implements industry best practices of shop floor management like Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma.

Manager- MegaGW Operations
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manages the manpower planning & shift rostering as per the load projections and productivity targets.
  2. Compliance to the SOPs, facility 5S and overall upkeep of the facilities.
  3. Monitoring vehicle connections, availability and ensuring timely unloading/loading of vehicles. (metrics)
  4. Plan ad-hoc vehicle requirements based on load profile and coordinate with fleet.
  5. Maintain the service levels and ensuring the performance metrics.
  6. Facilitate communication and coordination with different teams (such as commercial, security, fleet, last mile).
  7. Driving the metrics in their respective functions (inbound operations, outbound operations, floor operations, quality metrics, first mile metrics).
  8. HR/Employee related KRA - Diversity Hiring, Maintaining Employee Morale, Employee safety on the floor.
  9. Mentors and works toward capability building of the team members.
  10. Continuously explores process improvement opportunities and drives them to closure.
  11. Implement industry best practices of shop floor management - Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma etc.
