Job summary

Vodafone VOIS in India is seeking a skilled Java-focused Software Engineer to contribute to design, development, and support of Network Asset Inventory solutions within OSS Support & Readiness. This role suits someone with experience building scalable, enterprise-grade systems in telecom environments.

You will design and develop using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs, while integrating with enterprise systems, adhering to CI/CD practices and agile delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, preferably in telecom OSS or enterprise integration.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and Git.
• Familiar with CI/CD concepts, development lifecycle, and agile delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support OSS-based Network Asset Inventory solutions.

About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Java-focused Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and support of Network Asset Inventory solutions within OSS Support & Readiness. This role is suited to an individual experienced in building scalable, reliable systems aligned with enterprise and telecom standards, supporting automation objectives and operational readiness across fixed and mobile network environments.

• Build and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and REST APIs.
• Develop and manage interfaces and integrations with enterprise systems.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable code aligned with coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical deliverables.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, version control practices, and deployment processes.

Who you are

• Experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years in software development, preferably within telecom OSS or enterprise integration environments.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and version control tools such as Git.
• Familiar with CI/CD concepts, development lifecycle practices, and agile delivery environments.
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and solution design capabilities.
• Confident communicator who can engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative team contributor with a focus on quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Exposure to telecom OSS, Network Asset Inventory platforms (e.g. Amdocs Cramer), TM Forum APIs, or cloud technologies is advantageous.
