Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services seeks an experienced Manager- IT Infrastructure to lead a global team from our Mumbai office. You will drive reliability across cloud and on‑prem platforms, guide modernization initiatives, and partner with security/compliance to align with ISO27001 and NIST controls.

You will mentor engineers, manage vendor relationships, and steer lifecycle planning, budgeting, and governance while delivering resilient IT services for life sciences projects.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud, or enterprise IT operations.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or technical leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead incidents, changes, and problem management with ITIL practices.
• Experience with ISO27001, NIST, CIS Controls or similar security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, monitoring, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure including cloud, on‑prem, networks, and identity systems.
• Plan and execute modernization projects, automation, DR readiness, and office deployments.

We are looking for a talented Manager- IT Infrastructure to join our dedicated team at our office located in Mumbai.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Operations & Service Reliability

- Lead the daily operation, monitoring, maintenance, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure services, including cloud platforms, servers, storage, network services, identity systems, endpoint platforms, backup/recovery, and collaboration infrastructure. Ensure incidents, problems, changes, capacity needs, maintenance windows, and recurring operational risks are managed in a timely and controlled manner.

Infrastructure Projects, Modernization & Continuous Improvement

- Plan and lead infrastructure initiatives such as cloud and network modernization, identity and access improvements, endpoint platform enhancements, server lifecycle programs, automation, monitoring improvements, disaster recovery readiness, and office or project technology deployments. Translate business and technology needs into practical execution plans, standards, documentation, and measurable outcomes.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

- Partner with IT Security and Compliance to ensure infrastructure services align with internal policies, ISO27001 controls, vulnerability remediation expectations, audit evidence requirements, secure configuration standards, privileged access practices, and data protection needs. Support technical risk assessments, remediation tracking, and control improvement activities.

Team Leadership, Coaching & Escalation Management

- Manage, mentor, and develop infrastructure engineers, administrators, analysts, and/or external partners. Provide clear priorities, technical guidance, performance feedback, workload direction, and career development support. Serve as the senior escalation point for high-impact technical issues, service interruptions, root‑cause analysis, and cross‑functional troubleshooting.

Vendor, Budget & Lifecycle Management

- Manage vendor relationships, managed service providers, contracts, renewals, infrastructure purchasing, asset lifecycle planning, licensing coordination, budget inputs, and cost optimization opportunities. Evaluate solutions and service providers to ensure technical fit, reliability, security, scalability, and business value.

Stakeholder Engagement, Governance & Other Duties as Assigned

- Collaborate with business leaders, regional IT teams, project teams, Support, Applications, Security, and PMO stakeholders to align infrastructure priorities with organizational needs. Maintain governance practices, technical documentation, service reporting, standards, roadmaps, and communications. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline required; equivalent combination of education, certifications, and progressive experience may be considered. 8-12 years of progressive infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud, network, or enterprise IT operations experience required, including 3-5 years of supervisory, technical leadership, or people management experience. Strong hands‑on background with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Windows Server, VMware/vSphere, enterprise networking, endpoint management, backup/recovery technologies, monitoring platforms, scripting/automation, and hybrid cloud environments. Demonstrated experience leading incident/problem/change processes, infrastructure projects, lifecycle programs, disaster recovery planning, vendor coordination, documentation, and service improvement initiatives. Experience working with ITIL-based service management practices required; ITIL v4 Foundation preferred. Experience supporting ISO27001, NIST, CIS Controls or similar security/compliance frameworks preferred. Relevant Microsoft, Azure, networking, security, virtualization, or cloud certifications strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical priorities, risks, and recommendations to technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
