Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Private Limited in Pune seeks a Technology/DevOps leader to drive enterprise engagements and guide architecture for edge-to-cloud solutions. You will lead a team of technologists, oversee POC design, and champion automation across complex programs.

We expect 10–12 years in consulting/delivery, strong open-source experience, and hands-on work with OpenStack, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry and CI/CD tool chains. Senior leadership role with global impact is offered.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in Consulting/Solutioning/IT services or customer delivery.
• At least 5 years leading technology teams supporting on-prem, cloud, and automation projects.
• Hands-on with open-source platforms and enterprise cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

• Lead and manage a team of technologists to work with our sales, presales, account teams and engage our enterprise customers to understand their business challenges and requirements.
• Work with senior customer representatives (up to, and including, C-level executives) to advise and guide on the overall solution.
• Work with our architectural & engineering teams and Cloud Native Computing, and Cloud Foundry community to deliver innovative solutions that meet our customer’s needs.
• Should be able to lead the team to implement critical projects, deliver Proof of Concepts (POC), design / build ecosystem on Edge 2 Cloud Engineering, and onboard workloads.
• On large scale projects, be able to lead a team of Automation and DevOps resources.
• Identifying opportunities for additional HPE engagements by taking ownership and demonstrating credibility through agreed milestones.
• Leading and delivering HPE’s Edge 2 Cloud engineering solutions into customer environments and ensuring solutions works as specified.
• Maintaining knowledge of wider cloud technologies and concepts, including but not limited to OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Open cloud, Opensource.
• Managing stakeholder relationships in the country, across HPE business units, especially GreenLake, Compute, and Pointnext.
• Managing complex multifunction relationships with senior and executive stakeholder management.
• Managing project financials including business impact within the team with reliable forecast accuracy.
• Drive a team to be active in open-source communities, such as Cloud Native Computing Foundation, OpenStack, and Cloud Foundry community.
• Enable growth in Emerging Technologies.

What you need to bring:

• Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in Consulting/Solutioning /IT services/ Customer delivery of which at least 5 years worked as a Technology/DevOps/ Solution Architect/Technology Manager leading/managing technology teams supporting OnPrem Cloud Solution/Integration/Automation/DevOps.
• Open source experience in designing and implementing enterprise production platforms, technologies and products that provide an IaaS / PaaS / SaaS solution.
• Platform Design and Implementation experience with the following technologies: OpenStack (Red Hat, Canonical, etc.), Enterprise virtualization platform with VMware, KVM, etc., Environments & Frameworks – Docker, Cloud Foundry, Spring, Rails, Elastic beanstalk (AWS), Microsoft.net, OpenShift etc, WebSphere, Apache httpd, LAMP, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Enterprise grade container orchestrator & Kubernetes distribution such as Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, Google Anthos, SUSE/Rancher Kubernetes engine, etc.
• Hands on with Scripting/Programming Languages: Shel, PowerShell, Python, Golang.
• Must have led e2e CI/CD projects with DevOps tool chains.
• Must have led projects with configuration management tools not limited to Ansible, Chef, Terraform.
• Development environments - DEV, TEST, STAGE, PROD, repositories, code review tools.
• Experience in the following products and technologies would be an advantage: Amazon, Azure, Google Cloud, and alternate cloud products and technologies.
• Good analytical skills, Good communication and leadership skills, Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
• Eligibility: Engineering, MCA or IT Degree.
• Experience or certification on CKA, CKAD, CKS, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Public Clouds, Suse Rancher, Redhat OpenShift.
