The Information Technology Manager is accountable for first-line support and the overall customer experience for the ERP Application Security team within Caterpillar IT. This role owns support service performance, strategic vendor management, and leadership of a global ERP Security organization supporting a diverse portfolio of FSA, non-FSA, and legacy ERP applications. This critical leadership position ensures end users have 24x7 access to a responsive, technology-forward support organization that delivers timely resolution while maintaining Caterpillar's commitments to security, risk management, and internal controls.
In addition, this role will lead the establishment and maturation of enterprise support capabilities for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Archiving solutions, expanding the organization's technical expertise and long-term support model.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational objectives. Education / Experience: Requires a relevant computer science masters or graduate degree and 10 plus years of progressively complex Information Service experience including staff and supervisory assignments in Information Services and related areas. Requires general understanding of basic business operations including one or more of the following: general business processes, technical infrastructure, application development and support of major projects, and engineering functional applications. The incumbent must have ability to provide strategic direction for effectively managing staff, budgets, business plans, project plans and developing 2-5-year plans on Information Services. Requires ability to work with diversified departments along with effective oral and written communications skills. The incumbent must have a strong customer focus and business knowledge. The position also requires to work efficiently with integration partners, technology vendors, and managed service partners.
