Job summary

Citco in Pune seeks a senior finance professional to oversee day-to-day accounting for 5–6 entities, ensure timely month-end closes, balance sheet reconciliations, and accurate reporting. The role requires CA/CMA with strong technical accounting skills and 8+ years in finance within an operational environment.

You will lead a 5–7 person team in a shared service setup, work with overseas entities (NA/Europe), and support audits, tax compliance, and process improvements across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or business.
• Qualified chartered accountant/CMA with good technical accounting skills.
• At least 8 years of finance and accounting experience within an operational environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a shared service team (GL) of ~5–7 staff.
• Proficient in Excel with working knowledge of Oracle Fusion and overseas clients (NA/Europe).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting activities for the Finance team (5–6 entities).
• Accountable for month-end close, reporting deliverables and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review month-end commentaries and corporate tax processes for regulatory compliance.
• Mentor finance team members and engage with internal/external audits.
• Coordinate with Tax and Legal; ensure timely monthly reporting and process adherence.

About You:

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or business

Your Role:

• Oversee and manage the day to day accounting activities of the Finance team, typically 5-6 legal entities
• Accountable for the month end process and ensuring all deliverables and reporting requirements are met
• Month end review of balance sheet accounts and reconciliations
• Review of month end commentaries
• Manage the annual tax processes and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements
• Responsible for both internal and external audits
• Maintain a healthy cash flow for all legal entities under your remit
• Engage with other Finance functions to ensure seamless flow of information between teams
• Liaise with Tax and Legal to maintain legal documentation, e. g. SLAs and tax requirements
• Responsible for managing the relationship between the shared service center and local offices to ensure maintenance of monthly reporting and corporate processes and procedures
• Implement new processes and procedures and ensure adherence with group policies
• Develop strong relationships with the key stakeholders
• Mentor and develop the finance team members
• Ad hoc duties/projects as requested
