Job summary

HDFC Life in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and NLP to design autonomous AI systems for enterprise-scale workflows.

You will work with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers to deploy production-grade AI solutions, interacting with tools, APIs, and data stores while ensuring reliability, observability, security, and governance. 3–6 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in data science, ML, or NLP.
• Proficiency in Python and AI tooling.
• Experience with LLMs, agentic AI, and RAG architectures.
• Production deployment, observability, and governance experience.
• Cloud-native architectures familiarity.
• Exposure to open-source LLMs (e.g., Llama, Qwen, Mistral, Gemma/Granite).
• Knowledge of embeddings, semantic/hybrid search, and vector databases.
• Model serving technologies such as vLLM, Ollama, TGI or TensorRT-LLM.

We are looking for an exceptionally strong Senior Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and NLP to design and build next-generation AI systems capable of autonomous reasoning, planning, tool usage, and workflow orchestration. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of LLMs, Agentic Frameworks, RAG architectures, and production-grade AI deployment.

This role requires someone who can move beyond traditional prompt engineering and build enterprise-scale AI agents that can interact with tools, APIs, databases, and business systems while maintaining reliability, observability, security, and governance standards. The candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineering teams to solve complex business problems using cutting-edge AI technologies.
Core Requirements:

• Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or AI Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI development ecosystems.
