Job summary

TAPI is seeking an experienced Capital Projects Manager in India to lead large-scale API facility initiatives. You will oversee planning, execution, and governance of capital projects, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards while coordinating with procurement and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical or chemical engineering, at least 12 years in pharma APIs, and a proven track record of delivering on-time, on-budget projects with a focus on

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage assigned capital projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery while meeting customer and business requirements.
2. Provide leadership for planning, development, and tracking of the annual capital spending plan for the assigned site.
3. Integrate cost reduction initiatives and best project management practices into all capital projects.
4. Ensure compliance with Global Engineering standards, policies, procedures, and FDA regulations for facility, process, and equipment design.
5. Provide engineering input into long-range planning for key products, processes, and manufacturing initiatives.
6. Identify skill gaps within the project management team and develop recruitment or training plans to address them.
7. Collaborate with procurement on capital equipment orders, including techno-commercial bid analysis and recommendations.
8. Manage Capex cash flow, monitor spending and forecasts, and prepare monthly reporting, annual operating plans, and long-range capital project plans.
9. Finalize Capital Expenditure Requests (CER) and obtain Global approvals for project execution.
10. Implement and enforce all safety guidelines and EHS compliance requirements across the department and contractor operations, including HR compliance.
11. Ensure local and global EHS KPIs are met and conduct Safety GEMBA walks.
12. Maintain Emergency Response Team (ERT) and first aid readiness, participate in risk assessments, and implement recommendations.

Experience Required: Minimum 12 Years in Pharma API
