Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Manager to lead engagements in the Not-for-Profit sector from our Ahmedabad office. You will supervise staff, coordinate planning and execution, and collaborate with partners and managers to deliver high-quality audits and assurance services.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in accounting, CPA license, and at least 5 years of public accounting experience with Not-for-Profit or higher education exposure. Travel may be required.

This Audit Manager role will work exclusively with Withum’s Not-for-Profit Industry team and can be based out of our Ahmedabad Office. You’ll be working with a team of renowned experts and thought leaders in the industry who are passionate about what they do! In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning and execution to completion, to include supervision/mentoring of staff, working directly with partners and managers and building/maintaining relationships with clients. How You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Leading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world‑class client service to clients
• Overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusion
• Providing supervision and support to the engagement staff, seniors and supervisors and promote open communication to the engagement partner
• Collaborating with engagement team seniors or supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for any legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
• Creating and tracking engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit and conduct constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license
• At least 5 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
• Prior auditing experience with Not‑For Profit companies is preferred but not required
• Prior auditing experience with Higher Education is preferred but not required
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client’s management
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem‑solving skills
• Ability to travel as needed based on client assignments
