Job summary

Riveron is seeking a Data Platform & Architecture Lead to own the enterprise data foundation, driving scalable, governed, and AI-ready infrastructure across Snowflake, Power BI, Salesforce, and integration patterns. The role balances hands-on architecture with platform ownership to create durable enterprise data patterns.

You will guide data engineers, BI developers, and analysts while shaping Riveron’s future-state data strategy and modern data capabilities for AI-enabled use cases.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, cloud data platforms, or analytics engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, ELT/ETL, and enterprise data warehouse design.
• Experience with Power BI semantic models; Microsoft Fabric experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, role-based access, data quality, and lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating data from SaaS platforms, APIs, finance systems, Salesforce, and flat-file sources.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap for Riveron’s enterprise data platform.
• Lead Snowflake data warehouse / lakehouse design, including modeling, ingestion, transformation, access controls, performance tuning and cost optimization.
• Design reusable data models, semantic layers, and governed datasets for enterprise reporting and AI use cases.
• Modernize Power BI models and reduce dependency on fragmented reporting processes.
• Support Alteryx modernization and migration, replacing manual workflows with scalable data pipelines.
• Design data integration patterns across Salesforce, SharePoint / Microsoft 365, finance systems, APIs, and third-party data sources.
• Establish data quality, lineage, reconciliation, documentation, and observability standards.
• Partner with AI product engineers to make Riveron’s data architecture AI-ready for pilots and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers, BI developers, analysts, and AI engineers.

Role Summary

The Data Platform & Architecture Lead will own the architecture, design, and modernization of Riveron’s enterprise data foundation. This role will be responsible for building scalable, governed, and AI-ready data infrastructure across Snowflake, Power BI (Microsoft Fabric experience a plus), Salesforce, Alteryx migration, APIs, and shared data access patterns.

This role is central to Riveron’s future-state data strategy. The person should be both a hands-on architect and a platform owner who can create durable enterprise patterns rather than one-off reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap for Riveron’s enterprise data platform.
• Lead Snowflake data warehouse / lakehouse design, including data modeling, ingestion, transformation, access controls, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Design reusable data models, semantic layers, and governed datasets for enterprise reporting and AI-enabled use cases.
• Partner with reporting and analytics teams to modernize Power BI models (Microsoft Fabric experience a plus) and reduce dependency on manual or fragmented reporting processes.
• Support Alteryx modernization and migration where appropriate, replacing manual workflows with scalable data pipelines.
• Design data integration patterns across Salesforce, SharePoint / Microsoft 365, finance systems, operational platforms, spreadsheets, APIs, and third-party data sources.
• Establish data quality, lineage, reconciliation, documentation, and observability standards.
• Partner with AI product engineers to make Riveron’s data architecture AI-ready for pilots, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, and natural language analytics.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers, BI developers, analysts, and AI engineers.

Required Experience

• 6-9 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, cloud data platforms, or analytics engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, ELT / ETL, and enterprise data warehouse design.
• Experience with Power BI semantic models required; Microsoft Fabric or similar enterprise BI platform experience a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, role-based access, data quality, and lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating data from SaaS platforms, APIs, finance systems, Salesforce, and flat-file sources.
• Ability to design scalable architecture while still contributing hands-on when needed.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with SQL, Python, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, Matillion, or similar tools.
• Experience modernizing Alteryx or spreadsheet-heavy processes.
• Exposure to AI / ML data readiness, vector databases, semantic search, RAG architecture, or LLM application patterns.
• Experience in finance, consulting, professional services, or Office of the CFO analytics.
