Job summary

Searce Inc is looking for a Lead FDS (‘Forward Deployed Solver’) in Pune District, Maharashtra. This position requires a hands-on technical leader capable of architecting scalable data platforms while building robust engineering pipelines that empower AI innovation.

Your Responsibilities

What you will wake up to solve. You are the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for both the blueprint and the bricks. You lead a small, elite team of data solvers, owning the outcome end-to-end.

• Architect & Build: This is a hands-on-keys role. You will design and implement foundational data infrastructure. You’ll build it, break it, and perfect it alongside your team.
• Lead the Squad: Mentor and manage a pod of Data Engineers and Architects. You’re responsible for their growth, their code quality, and their delivery velocity.
• Client Stewardship: Act as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise clients. You navigate complex challenges across Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and AWS/GCP ecosystems.
• Enable Cloud & AI: Design and implement the data pipelines and structures that efficiently feed and empower Machine Learning and AI applications.
• Optimize Everything: Continuously fine-tune architectures for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You don't just make it work; you make it elite.

Engineering & Architecture Core

• Cloud Data Mastery: Expert proficiency in GCP (BigQuery, Spanner), Snowflake, and Databricks.
• The Pipeline Engine: Heavy-duty experience with Apache Airflow, Kafka, and Spark for real-time and batch orchestration.
• Data Modeling Master: Authority on advanced data modeling (analytical, operational, and transactional).
• Programming for Data: Strong command over Python and SQL for automation, scripting, and building processing applications.
• Technical Storytelling: Ability to craft compelling architectural decks and demonstrations that shape the strategic narrative for clients.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional at articulating complex technical decisions to both "tech-heavy" and "business-first" stakeholders.
• Squad Delivery: Proven experience leading small teams in an agile, high-velocity consultancy or product environment.

Experience & Relevance

• 8+ Years of "Doing": Deep experience in Data Engineering and Architecture, with at least 2+ years in a lead or managerial capacity.
• Proven Production: A track record of designing and building production-grade data solutions on public cloud platforms (GCP experience is a massive plus).
• AI/ML Data Enablement: Experience building the data foundations specifically geared toward supporting AI initiatives.
