Job summary

Mastercard in India seeks a Manager – Data Engineering to lead the design and delivery of robust data pipelines and platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and AI use cases. You will lead multiple analytics projects across GBSC and Mastercard, mentoring a team of data engineers and partnering with business stakeholders.

You will drive data quality, governance, and security while overseeing end-to-end delivery and performance optimizations in a scalable data environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with data platforms (e.g., Databricks).
• Understanding of data architecture (Lakehouse, Warehousing).
• Strong stakeholder and team management skills.
• Experience working with large datasets and enterprise systems.

Overview

The GBSC Analytics & Automation team enables data-driven decision-making through scalable data platforms, automation, and analytics capabilities. We are seeking a Manager – Data Engineering to lead the design and delivery of robust data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead multiple analytics projects and initiatives within GBSC and Mastercard
• Lead design and development of scalable data pipelines and platforms
• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers
• Partner with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Drive best practices in data quality, governance, and security
