Job summary

Torq Commodities in Navi Mumbai seeks an experienced finance leader to own modelling and capital strategy. You will build comprehensive financial models, including 3-statement, project finance, and acquisition models, and develop cash flow projections and covenant forecasts.

You will evaluate funding structures and prepare materials for lenders and investors, supporting leadership in fundraising with banks, NBFCs, private credit funds, and DFIs.

Qualifications

• MBA or Master's in Finance, Banking, Investment Banking, or equivalent from a reputable institution.
• CA / CFA candidates with strong modelling experience are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Build advanced financial models including integrated 3-statement, project finance, trade finance, acquisition and investment models.
• Develop cash flow projections, borrowing base models, and covenant forecasts.
• Evaluate funding structures across debt, structured credit, and hybrid instruments.
• Prepare Information Memorandums, bank decks, credit papers, investor presentations, and business plans.
• Support fundraising with banks, NBFCs, private credit funds, and DFIs; respond to lender diligence requests.
• Assist in evaluating new geographies, supply chain investments, and processing assets; support M&A analysis.
• Convert leadership vision into structured financial narratives for institutional audiences; draft investment notes and board materials.
• Coordinate with trading, operations, risk, external advisors and legal teams to validate projections.

• Build advanced financial models including:

  • Bank decks

• Support leadership in fundraising processes with banks, NBFCs, private credit funds, and DFIs.
• Respond to lender due diligence requests with precision and speed.

Strategic Projects

• Assist in evaluating new geographies, supply chain investments, and processing assets.
• Support M&A initiatives including financial analysis, valuation, and transaction materials.
• Conduct industry and competitor research to support strategic decision-making.

Executive Communication

• Convert leadership vision into structured financial narratives suitable for institutional audiences.
• Draft investment notes and board-level materials.
• Work closely with senior management on high-impact strategic initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with trading, operations, and risk teams to gather assumptions and validate projections.
• Coordinate with external advisors including investment banks, consultants, and legal teams.
