Job summary

The Construction Logistics and Space Manager at Micron Technology is responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing all construction logistics operations, temporary facilities, material flow, storage allocation, workforce movement, equipment access, and space utilization across large-scale projects.

You will coordinate with EPCC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to minimize congestion, safety risks, and schedule disruptions while maximizing productivity and site

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA in Logistics, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or Operations Management is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction logistics management, industrial site operations, contractor coordination, and space planning methodologies.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor facilities, cleanroom construction environments, large industrial projects, or mission-critical infrastructure is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction equipment operations, heavy transport logistics, temporary facility planning, and warehouse coordination practices.
  • Proficiency in logistics planning software, BIM coordination platforms, AutoCAD, and construction management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Construction Logistics Management Plans for large-scale projects.
  • Manage site logistics operations including material movement, traffic management, workforce access, laydown yards, equipment staging, and temporary facilities coordination.
  • Plan and control space allocation for contractors, storage areas, fabrication zones, offices, parking, utilities, cranes, and heavy equipment operations.
  • Coordinate logistics interfaces between EPCC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, warehouse teams, security, and project management teams.
  • Optimize construction site space utilization to support phased construction activities, workfront availability, and schedule-driven execution.
  • Monitor material receiving, storage, preservation, inventory movement, and distribution activities across the project site.
  • Coordinate heavy lift operations, crane planning, oversized equipment movement, and critical delivery logistics with contractors and safety teams.
  • Develop site utilization drawings, logistics layouts, traffic circulation plans, and temporary infrastructure deployment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety standards, environmental regulations, traffic management requirements, and statutory logistics guidelines.
  • Coordinate temporary utilities, temporary facilities, worker welfare infrastructure, and construction support services required for project execution.
  • Identify logistics constraints, space conflicts, bottlenecks, and operational risks impacting construction progress and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support project scheduling and construction sequencing by ensuring logistics readiness and workfront accessibility.
  • Conduct regular site logistics audits, inspections, and coordination meetings to monitor contractor compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Planning, Safety, Procurement, Warehouse, and Commissioning teams to ensure integrated project execution.
  • Monitor contractor logistics performance, material handling practices, housekeeping standards, and site organization effectiveness.
  • Maintain logistics documentation including logistics registers, site allocation records, delivery schedules, movement permits, and operational reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for site logistics optimization, productivity enhancement, and operational cost efficiency.
  • Support emergency response planning, evacuation logistics, and crisis management coordination during critical project situations.
  • Forecast plan for the resources for logistics and material movement
  • Schedule review considering logistics impact and support for schedule optimization.

Job Summary

The Construction Logistics and Space Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing all construction logistics operations, temporary facilities, material flow, storage allocation, workforce movement, equipment access, and space utilization across large-scale industrial and semiconductor construction projects. The role ensures efficient coordination of site logistics between EPCC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders while minimizing congestion, operational conflicts, safety risks, and schedule disruptions. The position plays a critical role in maintaining organized site execution, maximizing productivity, and supporting smooth construction progress within highly complex and fast-paced project environments.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Construction Logistics Management Plans (CLMP) for large-scale construction projects.
  • Manage overall site logistics operations including material movement, traffic management, workforce access, laydown yards, equipment staging, and temporary facilities coordination.
  • Plan and control space allocation for contractors, storage areas, fabrication zones, offices, parking, utilities, cranes, and heavy equipment operations.

Experience Required
  • 10-15+ years of experience in construction logistics management, site operations, industrial project coordination, or large-scale infrastructure project execution.
  • Minimum 5+ years managing logistics operations for EPC/EPCC industrial, semiconductor, data center, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Experience in semiconductor fabs, cleanroom facilities, advanced manufacturing plants, or mega construction projects is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing contractor logistics coordination, heavy equipment movement, temporary facilities, and site space utilization in complex construction environments.
