Job summary

Randstad invites an experienced Category Management Leader to drive global strategies and actionable insights from market intelligence. You will guide cross-functional teams, optimize processes, and ensure governance across sourcing programs.

The role requires proven leadership in multi-category procurement and strong ERP/S2P knowledge to support complex supplier ecosystems in pharma/biopharma contexts. On-site Hyderabad is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with progressive experience in procurement, preferably in Pharma/Biopharma
• Proven experience leading teams, processes, and suppliers across multiple categories in a global or multi-national environment
• Strong knowledge of category management principles, including market analysis, spend analysis, supplier evaluation, and risk management
• Demonstrated expertise in transforming data and market intelligence into actionable category insights and strategies
• Experience leading and developing associate- and specialist-level professionals, including performance management, coaching, and career development
• Ability to build influential relationships with partners and suppliers to drive business outcomes
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and Source-to-Pay (S2P) platforms (e.g., Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba) preferred
• Proficiency in standard business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to operate effectively with integrity, focus, and clarity in ambiguous environments and inspire change and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of associates and specialists to transform market intelligence and analytics into actionable insights that enable global category management strategy development
• Support the definition and implementation of global commercial category strategies aligned to regional and global business needs
• Deliver micro and macro market analysis, spend insights, supplier evaluation, and risk assessments to support strategy and partner engagement
• Partner with data and analytics teams to demonstrate internal and external data sources to identify trends, opportunities, and future strategy direction
• Facilitate sourcing processes by supporting RFP, RFQ, and RFI development and managing response collection, analysis, and comparative evaluations
• Maintain and optimize category management templates, strategy decks, and stage-gate materials, ensuring consistent tools and repository governance
• Track and report internal requests handled by the category management enablement team in line with engagement plans and delivery commitments
• You foster collaboration, lead through influence, and operate with clarity and integrity in a global, matrixed, and evolving environment
