Job summary

M&G India is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 specialist to act as SME for Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint Online. You will drive identity and access management, coordinate incident responses and help deliver platform improvements across the collaboration stack.

You'll work closely with security, risk and IT teams, documenting solutions and guiding engineers while ensuring scalable, secure operations in Mumbai/ Pune offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint Online.
• Experience with Intune and identity/access management.
• Proven incident management and security/compliance practices.
• Ability to document solutions and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

Act as the subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and Intune, providing specialist guidance and direction to technology teams and stakeholders.

Support identity and access management processes, ensuring mailbox provisioning, permissions, authentication and access models operate smoothly in partnership with the IDAM team.

Resolve complex service issues and coordinate incident response across internal teams and external partners to restore service quickly and effectively.

Deliver platform improvements and new features, contributing to change initiatives, technology upgrades and strategic transformation programmes.

Embed strong security and compliance controls, working with Security, Risk and Compliance teams to maintain safe and governed collaboration services.

Produce clear documentation and share knowledge across teams, helping build capability and strengthen operational maturity.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Architecture, Infrastructure, Security and Network to ensure aligned, end‑to‑end service delivery.
• Champion continuous improvement, driving simplification, optimisation and reduction of technical debt across the M365 environment.
• Can act as a project manager from ideation process, influencing decisions to delivery and proactively look for opportunities and tools to improve the process.
• Should be able to manage team of technical engineers and lead at all levels.
• Should be able to clearly articulate business values to the senior stakeholders and should be able to challenge them.
• Understand the risk and controls around the platforms.
• Be able to appreciate truly Agile ways of working/development using tools like Jira/Confluence.
• Collaborate with peers across various levels for experiential learnings.
• Focus on scalability, resilience, security, quality and continuous rigour to reduce technical debt.
