Job summary

Ernst & Young Global Limited is seeking a Manager - Assurance - FAAS - Finance Transformation for Mumbai/Pune. The role focuses on driving finance transformation initiatives within FAAS, including R2R, FP&A, and ERP-related projects, with responsibilities spanning client engagement and solution delivery.

Travel internationally is expected for extended periods as required. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement finance operating models, and you will lead projects

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification mandatory.
• MBA preferred as part of the qualifications.
• 8+ years of Finance Transformation experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to develop and implement finance transformation initiatives.
• Lead financial close and consolidation processes and R2R reengineering.
• Provide functional ERP implementation support within finance functions.
• Manage project delivery and set up shared service centers as needed.
• Gather business requirements, perform as-is and to-be assessments, and maturity studies.
• Perform FP&A and data analytics; identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Maintain client relationships at senior levels and pursue new business opportunities.
• Develop blueprints and business cases; communicate findings to client groups.

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• Collaborate with a team to develop and implement finance transformation initiatives, including:
• Financial close and consolidation processes
• R2R Process re-engineering
• Functional Support for ERP technology implementation within finance functions
• Project management and shared service centre setup
• Business requirements gathering and analysis, As-Is and To-Be assessments and maturity assessments
• Data analytics and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
• Manage client relationships at senior levels, identifying new business opportunities and addressing client issues with tailored solutions.
• Deliver innovative services as part of a project team, typically involving 2-10 EY team members.
• Build business cases to support changes within finance functions and identify critical technological requirements for financial processes.
• Develop structured oral and written findings, presenting insights to client peer groups.
• Own the responsibility of revenue targets and support leadership to deliver the growth agenda Qualifications:
• Functional implementation experience/certificates in SAP/S4 HANA, Oracle Applications, Blackline, BPC, Hyperion, Workiva, Board, Lean/Six Sigma.
• Process transitions and designing finance operating models.
• Leading projects in Record to Report (R2R), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and finance transformation.
• R2R/ATR process standardization and drafting design blueprints.
• Functional consulting for large ERP transformations (S4 HANA/Oracle Cloud), Blackline, Anaplan, RPA, Microsoft Dynamics.
• Managing quality projects through KPI monitoring and reporting.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and change management experience.
• Basic to moderate understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).
• Proven ability to thrive on new challenges, adapt quickly, and engage in continual learning.
• Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively within a consulting team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods.
• Experience managing profit and loss, with a focus on business development and account penetration.

• Chartered Accountant,(CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFA) or equivalent (mandatory).
