Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Manager Ash Transportation to oversee and optimize the end-to-end logistics and transportation of fly ash and pond ash from multiple thermal power plants. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge and strong relationships across RMC (Ready‑Mix Concrete), ACC blocks, Cement industry, road construction projects, and waste management sectors to ensure smooth ash off‑take and utilization.

This role demands expertise in large‑scale logistics management, vendor coordination, cost optimization, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Transportation Management: Plan, execute, and manage the transportation of fly ash and pond ash from multiple thermal power plants to various end‑users, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with transporters, contractors, and clients in RMC plants, cement factories, ACC block manufacturers, road construction companies, and waste management units.
• Logistics Optimization: Optimize transportation routes, freight costs, and fleet utilisation to maximise efficiency and reduce overall logistics expenses.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all ash transportation activities comply with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Contract & Rate Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, freight rates, and service‑level agreements with transport vendors and logistics partners.
• Coordination & Reporting: Liaise with thermal power plant officials, customers, and internal teams to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and maintain accurate documentation of transportation activities.
• Market & Industry Networking: Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities in ash utilisation and transportation.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any logistics or quality issues promptly to avoid disruptions in ash supply chains.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in ash transportation and logistics, preferably with multiple thermal power plants.
• Strong network and working relationships with RMC units, cement manufacturers, ACC block producers, road construction firms, and waste management companies.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale logistics operations with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost control skills.
• Sound knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance related to fly ash transportation.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage operational challenges effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office and logistics management software/tools.
