Job summary

Cvent, a leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, is seeking an Analytics Manager in Gurgaon to own the analytics and pricing intelligence agenda. You will manage end-to-end analytics projects spanning product usage, revenue, customer behavior, and pricing strategy, and serve as the lead owner for Pricing.

You’ll define the team’s AI strategy, partner with Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing, and build tools and models that enable data-driven decisions at scale.

Qualifications

  • 10–14 years of relevant experience in analytics, pricing, revenue management, or technical consulting.
  • 2+ years of people management or team lead experience.
  • BTech or graduation in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with SQL, Sigma/Tableau, and Advanced Excel.
  • Proven track record of delivering analytics projects that drove measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML techniques to real-world business problems; pricing, revenue, or customer analytics use cases preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full analytics project portfolio across product usage, revenue, customer behavior, and pricing strategy.
  • Define and maintain analytics roadmaps aligned to business OKRs; present progress to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain self-serve dashboards and reports in Sigma/Tableau.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data Platform to improve data quality and analytics infrastructure.
  • Lead pricing analytics projects including price optimization, discount governance, deal win/loss analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Define and lead the team's AI strategy and upskill colleagues on responsible AI.

About The Role

As Analytics Manager at Cvent, you will own and drive the company's analytics and pricing intelligence agenda. You will manage a portfolio of analytics projects end-to-end spanning product usage, revenue, customer behavior, and pricing strategy while also serving as the primary analytical owner for Pricing. You will define and lead the team's AI strategy, partner closely with Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing leadership, and build the tools, models, and processes that enable data-driven and AI-powered decision-making at scale.

Analytics Leadership
  • Own and manage the full analytics project portfolio - scoping, prioritization, execution, and stakeholder communication across all active workstreams.
  • Define and maintain analytics roadmaps aligned to business OKRs; present progress and outcomes to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Conduct comprehensive lifecycle analysis including data gathering, cleansing, advanced statistical modeling, and strategic recommendations.
  • Build and maintain self-serve dashboards and reports in Sigma/Tableau to enable business teams to access insights independently.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data Platform teams to improve data quality, pipeline reliability, and overall analytics infrastructure.
  • Champion a data-driven culture by establishing best practices, documentation standards, and data literacy programs.
Pricing Analytics
  • Lead key pricing analytics projects pivotal to company success - including price optimization, discount governance, deal win/loss analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Develop advanced pricing tools and statistical models (e.g., price elasticity, willingness-to-pay, cohort value models) using R/Python.
  • Power Quarterly Pricing Reviews by delivering structured updates, insights, and recommendations to Finance and GTM leadership.
  • Provide deal-support analytics to Sales teams, including custom pricing simulations, ROI models, and competitive positioning.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer data to inform and refine pricing strategies and discount policies.
  • Interpret complex, multi-dimensional data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
AI & Innovation
  • Define and lead the team's AI strategy, identifying high-impact use cases for analytics, automation, and decision support across pricing, revenue, and customer intelligence.
  • Serve as the team's subject-matter expert on AI-enabled analytics, upskilling colleagues and championing responsible, explainable use of AI in business contexts.
  • Frame ambiguous business problems, scope the analysis, and deliver clear, decision-ready recommendations powered by AI and ML techniques.
  • Evaluate and deploy AI/ML models (e.g., forecasting, churn prediction, price optimization, NLP-based feedback analysis) in collaboration with Data Science and Engineering teams.
  • Stay current on emerging AI tools, LLM applications, and analytics automation technologies; assess applicability to Cvent's business context and advocate for adoption where appropriate.
  • Establish guardrails and governance practices for AI-generated insights to ensure accuracy, fairness, and business trustworthiness.
Cross-functional & People Management
  • Work with senior leadership to prioritize analytics and pricing business needs, translating ambiguous questions into well-defined analytical frameworks.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts - providing guidance on methodology, technical skills, career growth, and AI literacy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to align on metrics definitions, reporting standards, and joint analyses.
  • Communicate complex findings and strategic recommendations clearly through presentations and written reports for executive audiences.

This is a senior techno-functional role requiring deep technical expertise alongside strong business acumen, AI fluency, and leadership capabilities.

Analytics & Technical
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex analytics projects simultaneously, with strong prioritization and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and BI tools - Sigma and/or Tableau required.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to build compelling executive-ready presentations.
  • Strong working knowledge of statistics and R/Python, ideally applied to pricing models, segmentation, or forecasting.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM data and AWS cloud environment (Redshift, S3, or equivalent).
  • Ability to decipher large, complex, multi-dimensional data sets and present findings in a coherent, business-friendly structure.
  • Experience developing pricing/value models using advanced statistical techniques is strongly preferred.
AI & Machine Learning
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, or similar) and the ability to apply them to real-world business problems.
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) and experience integrating AI-generated insights into analytics workflows or dashboards.
  • Understanding of responsible AI principles - bias detection, model interpretability, data governance - and ability to implement guardrails in production settings.
  • Ability to frame ambiguous, open-ended business problems into structured analytical scopes and deliver decision-ready outputs using AI-driven approaches.
  • Experience designing or overseeing AI/automation use cases that improved team productivity or analytical throughput.
  • Familiarity with cloud AI/ML services (AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or similar) is a plus.
Leadership & Communication
  • Capability to clearly understand and articulate complex business problems and multi-task across multiple high-visibility projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to upskill teams on new tools and methodologies including AI and analytics best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
