Caterpillar Inc. in Bengaluru seeks a skilled Manager Accounting (Statutory) to join the Statutory Reporting CoE – Global Finance Services Division. Bangalore base preferred, with responsibilities across financial reporting, audits and regulatory compliance.

The role requires CA with 5+ years of statutory audit experience or being semi-qualified with 10–12 years, plus strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and ERP systems. Exposure to Tax/Secretarial/Trade compliance is a plus.

• Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of statutory audits experience (CA or semi-qualified with 10-12 years).

• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
• Big 4 experience preferred.

• 5-day work week in the office.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manager Accounting (Statutory) to join Stat. Reporting CoE – Global Finance Services Division.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore Office, KA-India

What you will do

Financial Reporting

• Preparation of Financial Statements and audit schedules needed for the Legal Entity to comply with regulatory requirements of the Local GAAP and other compliance obligations.
• Analysis of financial results to arrive at meaningful conclusions
• Understand and perform Audit adjustments based on GAAP differences and signficance of the transactions; Reconcilition of local GAAP & US GAAP records
• Support filing of statutory reports with assistance from legal teams

Project Management

• Lead statutory audits by ensuring timely provision of information
• Lead discussions with other functional groups to compile and review all financial information required for
• Financial Statements and audit validations
• Resolving audit questions and managing discussions independently / with limited support and guide others with respect to preparation and presentation of financials

Support Other Local Compliances

• The Incumbent will work with Tax groups (both Direct and Indirect) to assist them with specific requests on data / information feed that involve statutory reports to meet with tax compliances (Assessments/ Audits/ Transfer Pricing, etc).

Business & Regulatory Acumen

• Advisor to the business on matters concerning local statutory requirements
• Strong knowledge of latest regulations that impact statutory reporting
• Establish close connects with business / operations teams and stay on top of business changes.

What you will have

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of experience/ Semi qualified with 10-12 years experience in managing statutory audits
• Experience in accounting in US GAAP & IFRS (or FRS of any country in Asia) is required
• Experience in SAP or other ERP is preferred
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Compliances relating to Taxes / Secretarial / trade /Currency will be an added advantage but not mandatory
• Strong Communication and inter-personal skills required
• Experience with Stakeholder Management is a plus
• Experience with job transition and leading teams preferred
• Other Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of general accounting practices,Passion for Financial Reporting, Ability to learn and adapt quickly and a strong positive attitude.

• This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.
