Job Description
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a finance position in our Global Services (GS) hub in Bangalore, India. The role is part of the Account to Report (A2R) team and is responsible for managing accounting operations, reporting and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and the J&J Credo.
- Lead accounting and daily operations for the A2R teams.
- Close and execute financials as per the closing calendar and SLA commitments.
- Maintain compliance with internal audit, SOX and other regulatory requirements.
- Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
- Drive deep expertise, ensuring the team is knowledgeable of worldwide procedures and compliance requirements.
- Lead a large accounting team across GS hubs; support auditors and legal authorities with required activities.
- Ensure adherence, monitor, remediate and align compliance responsibilities with team members.
- Lead, mitigate and intensify risks in a timely manner.
- Maintain strong internal controls to achieve adequate audit ratings.
Talent Management
- Attract, develop and retain a highly competent, high‑performing, motivated and diverse team.
- Develop succession plans and support career development of team members.
- Implement effective performance management within the team.
- Recruit, mentor and drive process SMEs to ensure cross‑sector, cross‑region and cross‑process alignment.
- Act as the key liaison within the defined region and sector when assigned an operational key contact role.
- Create and support innovation champions to pursue business and efficiency opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in accounting, finance or related business discipline.
- At least 10+ years of professional experience.
- At least 4+ years of management or supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
- Proven US GAAP accounting knowledge.
- Experience in a shared service centre of a multinational corporation.
- Experience in a global A2R function of a large multi‑state company.
- Digital and intelligent automation capabilities.
- Fluent English; other language skills desirable.
- Willingness to work shifts to align with global assignments (Americas, EMEA, Asia). International travel up to 5% of the time.
