Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced Project Management professional in Chennai to drive PMO activities across multi‑discipline programs. You will lead gateway reviews, coordinate with internal and external agencies, and ensure on‑time delivery through rigorous planning and governance.

The role requires 7–9 years of experience in PMO and project management, with BE/ME qualifications and strong skills in risk management, PTPDS processes, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• BE/ME degree required.
• 7-9 years of proven experience in PMO and project management.
• Experience in risk management and governance within large projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare master project plan with related system and functional activities, work package, resource and budget plans.
• Track progress; identify critical paths and dependencies; communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate gateway reviews with Quality planning and CFT to ensure timely clearance.
• Coordinate with internal and external agencies for project ratings and assessments.
• Support PMO, PM-Lead and DH on resource availability and process flow for project work.
• Conduct weekly CFT reviews and management reviews as scheduled.
• Monitor budget, cost, quality and delivery timelines; escalate discrepancies with proposed solutions.
• Coordinate with plant manufacturing for aggregate build and stakeholder resolution.
• Resolve conflicts between CFTs to ensure smooth project execution.
• Perform risk analysis and mitigation with proactive risk flagging and mitigation plans.

Job description

1. Preparing Master Project Plan with list of related system level & functional level activities, work package plan, resource plan, budget plan and communicates to CFT members to ensure TCP of the project.

2. Gateway tracking - Prepare / work out activity charts with dependent activities and work out efficient path identify critical path critical activity and resources.

3. Take lead and facilitate Gateway reviews with Quality planning & CFT for on time Gateway clearance

4. Co-ordinate with internal/ external agencies for Composite project ratings assessment of the projects.

5. Support PM / PM-Lead and DH on resource availability and facilitate & drive the process flow for project work.

6. Conduct Weekly CFT reviews and facilitate management reviews as per schedule.

7. Prepare, Monitor & Track Budget, Cost , Quality and delivery Timeline of the project and escalate the discrepancies to the superiors with probable solutions.

8. Coordinate with Plant manufacturing team for aggregate build, Concerns resolution through continuous co-ordination with stakeholders.

9. Conflict resolution between CFT for smooth project execution

10. Risk analysis and mitigation. Proactive role in flagging the potential risk areas and ensuring that a mitigation plan is made available
