Job summary

G R Infraprojects Limited is seeking a site-focused professional to drive the completion of an assigned transmission line stretch. You will ensure timely execution, quality control, and efficient use of manpower, equipment, and materials on site.

The role requires handling resources, reading drawings, scheduling activites, managing crews and subcontractors, and providing regular progress updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical / Electrical with 3-7 years’ experience.
• BE/ B. Tech with 2-5 years’ experience.
• M. Tech with 2-4 years’ experience.
• Experience in handling Transmission line work with scope across 2-5 km in a PT & D project.

Responsibilities

• Determine and plan the requirement of resources on a daily basis (manpower, equipment etc.) that effectively allocates the resources to the execution activities.
• Manage project staff according to established policies and practices of the organization. Facilitate existing supervisors/ subcontractors to ensure smooth completion of assigned activities.
• Perform operational activities like reading the drawings, creating schedule for activities like excavation, layering, crushing etc. and managing fleets, labour and production activities of the team.
• Apprise the GRIL seniors of the project progress and request for support/ necessary inputs to ensure smooth project execution.
• Frequent review of Project progress and identify underlying deviations from schedule. Review the project schedule with the concerned authorities and the senior management through daily progress report and collect accurate data for raising an RFI.
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality.
• Review with In-charge/ Section In-charge and look for the most appropriate solutions to the prevailing concerns as per the project cycle. Ensure compliance with quality standards set by the client and government.
• Ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured through the DPR and other reporting mechanisms.
• Resolve any issues related to specific project and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Ensure that all employee grievances are handled in an appropriate manner.

Role Purpose

The role holder is accountable for the completion of the assigned stretch of Transmission line unit of the project. The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth execution of the allotted project within timelines and quality through prioritisation of the activities to ensure efficient utilisation of people, material and machinery and collaboration with the quality team. The incumbent is also responsible for resolving operational issues to ensure minimal impact on the project timelines.
