Technical Skills

• 7 years of experience in design and development using Java and related technologies
• Strong Life and Annuity insurance domain knowledge; preferred knowledge of Policy Administration Systems for the North American market
• Proven experience as Technical Lead Solution Architect on complex enterprise implementations, ideally for large insurers
• Strong object‑oriented design and Java expertise
• Experience with Spring Core, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, JMS, REST APIs
• Interface integration frameworks (e.g., SOAP, REST, messaging, file‑based, ESB, PaaS)
• Experience in UML‑based analysis and design using standard modeling tools
• Hands‑on experience producing and reviewing High‑Level Design (HLD) and Low‑Level Design (LLD) documents
• Solid understanding of business rules engines and workflow engines
• Strong RDBMS skills; expertise with any major database, clear understanding of SQL indexing, query optimization, and data modeling
• Exposure to performance engineering, profiling, load testing, and tuning at application and database levels
• Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD practices and automation tools for build, deployment, and test automation
• Experience working through the agile model of delivering solutions
• Experience conducting Design and Code Reviews
