Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 - 8 Years of experience in mainframe programming
• Programming Languages: COBOL, JCL, CICS
• Database Management: Strong knowledge of VSAM and DB2
• Version Control: Expertise in Endevor or similar tools
• CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Messaging Queues: Knowledge of IBM MQ
• File Transmission: NDM, FTP & SFTP

Position Overview

• Developer with experience in design, coding, testing and documentation of new or modified applications developed on the IBM z/OS Mainframe platform.
• Has knowledge and experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM/DB2 and CICS, along with a deep understanding of batch and online processing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps concepts and tools such as Jenkins and Git.
• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and provide support to applications already in production.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical design specifications
• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS with Mainframe tools and utilities.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Optimize mainframe application performance and troubleshoot issues
• Work with batch processing systems and scheduling tools like CA-7
• Update and maintain technical documentation
• Participate in Agile planning and standup meetings
