Job summary

Rockwell Automation, a global technology leader, is seeking a TPP Operator for onsite work in Tamil Nadu. You will operate and maintain turret punch press machines, perform routine maintenance, and conduct quality inspections to ensure adherence to specifications.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 4–6 years of TPP experience, and familiarity with Amada systems. You will participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 4–6 years of turret punch press operations experience.
• Knowledge of Amada punching systems or similar equipment.
• Exposure to G-code and M-code programming in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain turret punch press (TPP) machines to ensure smooth production and minimal downtime.
• Perform machine maintenance activities including lubrication, daily checklists, and tool/die management.
• Conduct First Piece, in-process, and Last Piece inspections to ensure product quality.
• Implement machine programmes using G-codes and M-codes and coordinate with programmers for tool setup and process requirements.
• Maintain 5S standards, workplace organisation, and ensure safety compliance using PPE and standard guidelines.
• Manage tools, materials, and production documentation including logs and maintenance records.
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) and training of co-associates.
