Logistics Specialist – Warehouse Operations

Purpose of the Job: The Logistics Specialist manages daily logistics, including shipment documentation, transport planning, execution, monitoring, procurement support, warehousing, inventory management, and reporting, meeting cost and service goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate document collection with CSR and C&F agents.
• Conduct MLM activities for new materials locally.
• Plan and execute shipments from virtual and warehouse locations.
• Support logistics data gathering for new projects and business models.
• Generate Ariba PR/POs and service entries for logistics vendors.
• Manage CRM and insurance claims for local shipment damages.
• Resolve IT/SAP/MES issues for warehouse users.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives in space, freight, and packaging.
• Plan and monitor transportation, including capacity and scheduling.
• Conduct booking and prepare E-way bills.
• Monitor and resolve shipment exceptions.
• Track logistics KPIs and cost performance.
• Support freight cost payments and import clearance.
• Develop performance reports for review.
• Maintain relationships with logistics providers.
• Identify service failures and develop solutions.
• Support transport capacity acquisition.
• Assist in process improvement efforts.
• Uphold and demonstrate Nouryon values and code of conduct compliance.
• Plan, execute, and monitor transportation.
• Ensure shipment readiness and repacking.
• Create outbound deliveries and invoices on time.
• Track warehouse inventory and space.
• Handle tolling product movements.
• Submit monthly reports on orders and savings.
• Book shipment costs and submit bills in SAP.
• Support vendor contract renewals and selections.
• Follow SOP for safe, timely deliveries.
• Maintain relationships with external partners.
• Optimize transport lines to cut costs.
• Communicate with customer service for order fulfilment.
• Follow HSE policies for a safe logistics environment.
• Hold KPI meetings and training for improvement.

Education & Experience

• 7+ years logistics/supply chain experience; preferably in chemical industry.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
