Job summary

Valeo, a global automotive supplier, seeks a Lead and Manager for the Supply Chain PTM team in Chennai. The role focuses on budgeting, team leadership, and ensuring alignment with inbound flow strategies and performance KPIs across projects.

You will collaborate with Purchasing and Projects Management to optimize costs, contracts, and scheduling, while driving continuous improvement in logistics and supply chain processes.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and develop large SCM teams.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control and headcount planning.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SC PTM team, including annual appraisals, career path planning and coaching.
• Review RFQ costs with SCM and coordinate with Projects Management.
• Ensure inbound flow strategy compliance and SVRF completion.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to input for presoco and SoCo; monitor contractual terms.
• Monitor KPIs, BOM/EOO/EDI percentages, and logistics cost optimization.

Lead and manage the SC PTM team

Perform annual appraisal and mid-year interviews, SDP & career path, recruitments, coaching, assess competencies level to build training plan, enhance the multitasking & multi-skills of its team

Perform the regular reviews and meetings (5', QRQC, monthly, ...);

Define and drive his budget (project load and investments); in case of multi-site scope, organises/sizes his activities in alignment with the RO

Ensure Project development :

Review/validate RFQ SC cost and investments with SCM before handover to the Projects Management

Ensure SVRF is 100% filled by SC PTM according Inbound Flow Strategy

Close teamwork with Purchasing to prepare SC inputs for presoco and SoCo. Detect/follow Inbound Flow Strategy derogations and elevate if any.

Review contractual conditions from current customers (Flexibility, consignment, safety stock, Incoterms, billing....)

Participate in the contractual conditions for new customers before being signed.

Launch transport RFQs for new inbound flows in relation with the Logistics flow Analyst.

Follow/Ensure major packaging development in relation with the Packaging Engineer/Technician

Follow up and improve BOM / EOO % / EDI %

Ensure Logistics protocol creation / update

Support site PTM team members to detect the material shortages (especially electronic parts)

Ensure compliance with CAA Project target financial KPI all along project development

Monitor the Project Supply Chain KPIs dashboard

Compliance with the Inbound strategy (Consignment, SAW)

Inventory in % of Sales at project level,

Accurate follow-up during the ramp-up project, Premium Freights, material shortages detection, avoiding any obsolescence, overstock...

Monitor Transport and warehouse cost, packaging and investment,

Early Open Order @ 100% and EDI @ 100%.

SCCL creation @ 100% and Critical Task % tracking to solve in time.

Develop the PTM team, improving their efficiency and driving the progress of the V5000 PS roadmaps

Develop the logistics knowledge of PTM by coaching activities

Ensure weekly WOOOM reviews with each logistics PTM,

Participate in PMC at RO level or Site level when needed.

Ensure/assess the good achievement of V5000 project targets
