Job summary

FLSmidth in India is seeking a logistics professional to manage spares and small project shipments for our aftermarket mining operations. This individual contributor role reports to the Logistics Lead and collaborates with stakeholders across regions.

You will handle shipping documentation, freight coordination, and ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements while supporting MIS reporting and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Should have prior experience & knowledge in handling shipping documentation & Logistics regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is essential.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle engineering spares, parts & small project shipments.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents like Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin.
• Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and sales to complete order execution.
• Liaise with freight forwarders and inspection agencies for shipment delivery.
• Monitor on-time delivery and contribute to cost savings through global initiatives.
• Support MIS reports and domestic import/export issues.

Purpose of the role

This logistics position is responsible for delivering spares / parts to our Aftermarket mining industry. This is an individual contributor role working within our team reporting to the Logistics Lead / Manager and to work closely with the stakeholders in other regions.

Your responsibilities

Handling engineering spares, parts & small project shipments and through knowledge about sizing and load plan for shipping activities. Ensure project shipping activities are handled as per statutory requirement (VGM, Road permit, Dangerous goods, Escorting requirement etc.) Freight negotiation with Freight forwarders. Assisting customers for importation of our shipments at destination. Handling all documentation regarding pre & post shipments, like preparation of Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of origin, Legalization…etc) & customer's letter. Liaison with warehouse/supplier for packing & transport coordination. Need to verify customer's LC and to make required documents as per LC and handle LC shipments. Co-ordinate with freight forwarders, Inspection agencies, Customers for shipment delivery. Following instructions and established logistics procedures. Co-ordination with stake holders like Warehouse, procurement, expeditor and sales to complete the order execution and shipment. Ensure & Monitor customer on time delivery & ensures savings effectiveness through compliance to implemented global category initiatives. Need to support for MIS reports. Able to handle domestic customs issues independently for both import & exports.

What you bring

Should have prior experience & knowledge in handling shipping documentation & Logistics regulations. Knowledge in MS-Excel/ Word proficiency is essential. Knowledge in ERP system will be an added advantage. Should have proficient verbal and written communication skills in English. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Good planning and organizing skills for prioritizing many concurrent tasks. Good team player.
