Job summary

Kandou AI in Pune, India, is seeking a Linux Software Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge products that power next-generation AI infrastructure. You will work on kernel and driver development for PCIe, I3C, SPI interfaces, and embedded software integration.

The role requires deep Linux expertise with 10+ years for lead roles or 5+ years for developers, plus strong C/C++ skills and modern development practices. Remote/hybrid work within India is supported.

Qualifications

• 4 year Bachelor of Tech/Engineering in Electronics, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field is required.
• Master of Tech/Engineering in Electronics, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field or ongoing education is preferred.
• 10+ years of Linux development experience for lead roles, 5+ year experience for developer roles.

We are seeking for a Linux Software Engineer based in Pune, India or remote/hybrid India.

Required Competencies - Experience

• Proven experience with Linux kernel & device driver development.
• Exposure to one or more advanced topics: P2P/dma-buf, RDMA, LVM, EDAC, SELinux
• Bring up of Linux on a hardware platform with PCIe, I3C, SPI and JTAG interfaces
• Systems development experience in storage, networking or accelerated computing
• 10+ years of Linux development experience for lead roles, 5+ year experience for developer roles

Required Competencies - Skills

• Strong programming skills in C, C++, shell scripting
• Embedded software development including bootloaders, debuggers, HW/SW integration
• Defining interfaces with embedded software and with applications
• Familiarity with x86 and ARM server CPU systems
• Computer systems architecture including protocols such as CXL , PCIe NVMe and AXI
• Development tools & practices: gcc/make, Github/Gitlab, CI/CD practices, SQA & test automation

Required Competencies - Education

• 4 year Bachelor of Tech/Engineering/equivalent in Electronics, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field or equivalent is required.
