As a Linux SME / SRE Engineer at Intineri Infosol in Bangalore or Hyderabad, you will take full ownership of core Linux system administration, high-availability cluster maintenance, production troubleshooting, and incident response. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass configuring and managing PCS/Pacemaker clusters on RHEL, resolving complex OS-level performance bottlenecks, enforcing SRE best practices, and maintaining comprehensive system monitoring frameworks. You will collaborate proactively with cross-functional support squads to handle rotational shift operations, execute proactive patching, and coordinate seamless client communications. Working in a fast-paced technology consulting environment, you will drive operational excellence, system resilience, and high-availability infrastructure reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert core Linux administration, system configuration, and maintenance across enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Design, configure, deploy, and manage high-availability PCS and Pacemaker clustering architectures for mission-critical workloads.
- Execute rigorous production support, kernel-level troubleshooting, log analysis, and root-cause resolution for complex Linux issues.
- Manage high-availability and clustering environments to guarantee continuous uptime and disaster recovery readiness.
- Enforce site reliability engineering (SRE) principles, incident management protocols, and proactive system monitoring.
- Collaborate proactively with enterprise clients, engineering squads, and IT leadership to ensure seamless stakeholder management.
- Monitor system performance metrics, resource utilization, and hardware health utilizing enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Support rotational shift operations, handling critical incident escalations and rapid-response troubleshooting.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, cluster configuration runbooks, and incident response logs.
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate security policies, compliance frameworks, and infrastructure operating standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 9 years of professional working experience in Linux systems administration, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
- Strong technical proficiency and hands‑on operational mastery of core Linux administration and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Minimum 4+ years of dedicated hands‑on experience configuring and managing PCS and Pacemaker clustering environments.
- Extensive practical expertise in production support, kernel troubleshooting, and Linux performance tuning.
- Proven operational mastery of high-availability architectures, incident management, and automated system monitoring.
