The Role

Linux DevOps engineer, responsible for planning and implementing complex Linux projects. You lead system hardening, security, and compliance initiatives. You are also an advocate for cloud solutions and can mentor others effectively.

In this role as a Linux DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain high‑volume business logic while refactoring legacy code to integrate seamlessly with modern cloud and mobile applications. You will lead complex Linux projects, drive system hardening and security compliance, and champion cloud solutions to propel our platform modernization forward.

Key responsibility
  • Linux Infrastructure & Security: Lead system hardening, security, and compliance initiatives while planning and executing complex Linux server projects.
  • Automation & CI/CD Pipelines: Build and optimize modern delivery pipelines using Ansible, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Packer, Python, and YAML.
  • Cloud Integration & Modernization: Advocate for and implement cloud architecture solutions to bridge core mainframe systems with cloud environments.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Communication: Mentor team members, share technical knowledge, and present technical strategies effectively to stakeholders.
  • Linux & Infrastructure Expertise: Deep mastery of Linux server technologies, backed by strong critical thinking and hands‑on system administration experience.
  • DevOps & Automation Toolkit: Hands‑on experience with Ansible, Azure CI/CD pipelines, Packer, and scripting in Python and YAML.
  • Modernization & Refactoring Skills: Proven capability to refactor legacy applications and integrate mainframe data architectures with modern cloud‑based solutions.
  • Security & Hardening Focus: Strong background in system security, hardening, and compliance standards.
  • Certifications & Leadership: Certifications across Red Hat and Azure (e.g., Red Hat RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA EX467; Microsoft AZ‑400, AZ‑304/AZ‑305). Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, lead technical projects, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  • DevOps & Automation: Hands‑on expertise with Ansible Automation, Azure CI/CD Pipelines, Packer, and scripting in YAML and Python for automated deployments and infrastructure management.
  • Security & Compliance: Demonstrated leadership in system hardening, implementing security best practices, and driving compliance initiatives across Linux environments.
  • Cloud Architecture: Strong functional knowledge of cloud solutions, cloud architecture concepts, and integrating on‑premises/legacy systems with modern cloud platforms.
  • Core Professional Skills: Proven critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively present technical concepts to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualification
  • Technical Certifications: Holds active Red Hat or Microsoft Azure certifications such as: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA – EX200)Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE – EX294)Red Hat Certified Specialist in Managing Automation with Ansible / RHCA (EX467)Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ‑400)Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies / Design (AZ‑304 / AZ‑305)
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Track record of mentoring engineering team members, fostering knowledge sharing, and leading end‑to‑end technical project execution.
