Job summary

Capgemini in Navi Mumbai seeks an experienced Linux Administrator to install, configure, and maintain Linux servers across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. You will implement security policies, manage core services, and optimize performance for high availability.

The role covers OS builds and upgrades, with opportunities to work across AWS, Azure, and GCP. A proactive mindset and automation passion are valued as you help ensure reliability of critical systems.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of hands-on Linux server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Experience across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Experience managing core services like DNS, DHCP, NTP, and file services.
• Hands-on with Apache or Nginx, SSH and file transfer services.

Your Role

• Expertise in Linux systems, automation, and cloud infrastructure, with a passion for optimizing performance and ensuring system reliability.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Configure and manage logical volume management (LVM), RAID, and file systems.
• Implement and enforce security policies for user access and authentication.
• Manage Linux systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Support / Perform OS Build & upgrade initiatives to address obsolescence remediation.

Your Profile

• Expertise in Linux administration, shell scripting, performance tuning, system security monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation, deployment and automation to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.
• 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and maintaining Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Manage core services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, NFS, Samba, Apache/Nginx, SSH, and FTP.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
