Responsibilities

• Extensive knowledge on Linux platform, with various operating systems, e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Debian.
• Ubuntu preferred.
• Extensive knowledge on cloud technologies, maintaining servers, applications, storage, and other services.
• Experience on AWS products like EC2, S3, RDS.
• Experience on cloud services such as AWS (Amazon), Droplet (Digital Ocean), RackSpace.
• Experience on web hosting servers, CPanel/WHM, Plesk Control panel.
• Experience on GoDaddy Domain Controller (DNS configurations).
• Experience on LDAP centralized authentication system with integration to various devices and services.
• Experience on VMware ESXi server, VM instance creation and maintenance.
• Experience with web services and virtual hosts, e.g., Apache, Nginx, Apache-Tomcat.
• Experience with databases MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Experience on MySQL clustering (Percona XtraDB) using HAProxy.
• Performance tuning of applications by updating Linux kernel parameters, web services modules optimization, and database tuning.
• Experience on deploying Apache/Tomcat based applications on Linux servers.
• Knowledge of application high availability via load balancing and clustering.
• Knowledge of application security, using proper permissions and sticky bit attributes.
• Experience on iptables for production environments.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure: hardware firewalls, routers, switches, WiFi access points, etc.
• Exposure to open source web applications like WordPress, Magento, Drupal, Moodle, Joomla, SugarCRM, Liferay, Alfresco, etc.
• Exposure to open source management tools like Zenoss, Nagios, MRTG, RT, Testlink.
• RHCE certification is an advantage.
