About the Role

We are looking for highly proficient Linguistic Experts across multiple Indian languages to support large-scale AI-driven linguistic data projects.

As a Linguistic Expert, you will own language quality for one of the languages listed above and act as a trainer and quality lead for contributors working on transcription, annotation, and related linguistic tasks.

This role requires a strong command over spoken and written language, the ability to follow strict guidelines, and experience in training, reviewing, and maintaining consistency at scale. The focus is on verbatim, rule-based linguistic accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct linguistic training sessions for contributors and guide them on audio recording, transcription, and annotation tasks
• Review, assess, and ensure high linguistic quality and guideline adherence across datasets
• Monitor contributor performance, identify recurring errors, and provide structured feedback
• Work closely with research and product teams
• Ensure delivery timelines are met while maintaining high quality standards
• Support onboarding and continuous improvement of large contributor pools

Qualifications

• Native proficiency in one or more of the listed languages
• Strong command over Hindi and English (spoken and written)
• Prior experience as a Linguistic Expert, QA Lead, Language Trainer, or Reviewer is highly desirable
• Familiarity with transcription or annotation tools is a plus
• Strong understanding of rule-based, guideline-driven language work
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills
• Ability to handle quality ownership at scale
• Candidates must have access to a laptop
