Job summary

LEDFlex in Hyderabad seeks a Lighting Project Engineer to design, plan, and execute lighting projects across Asia/India. You will work with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to deliver efficient, high-quality lighting solutions.

Responsibilities include developing detailed designs in AutoCAD, preparing BOQ/BOM, coordinating with departments, testing and commissioning, and training teams. The role offers Desirable Working Hours: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM with a lunch

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering or related field.
• Experience in Lighting or Electrical industry is essential.

• Prepare and revise BOQ and BOM based on project requirements.
• Handle tender documents and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with LED drivers, control systems (DALI/DMX).

• Train installation teams and distributors on proposed systems.
• Maintain project documentation of drawings, BOQs, specs.

Role and Company Overview:

LEDFlex, a pioneer in linear LED luminaires, has been designing, developing, and manufacturing innovative linear LED lighting solutions for over 10 years, with a strong focus on performance, sustainability, and energy efficiency. Our products illuminate everything from commercial spaces to architectural landmarks, combining functionality with refined design.

We are seeking a Lighting Project Engineer to assist in designing, planning, and executing lighting projects across Asia/India. You will work closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to deliver efficient, high-quality lighting solutions that meet performance standards and client expectations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, technical challenges, and contributing to cutting-edge projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design & Planning:

• Develop detailed lighting designs, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Prepare and revise Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM) based on project requirements and feedback.
• Handle project design preparations, including tender documents.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure accurate and timely design deliverables.

Technical Support:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to LED drivers, control systems (DALI, DMX), wiring configurations, and other electrical components.
• Provide pre-programming support for controllers and drivers used in projects.
• Perform system testing, validation, and commissioning to ensure compliance with performance standards and specifications.

Project Coordination:

• Support the Product and Sales teams with Lighting Control System Design and BOQ preparation.
• Attend technical meetings with the sales team and coordinate with contractors, site supervisors, and project managers for proper project execution.
• Conduct on-site technical meetings, supervision, and testing as required.
• Oversee assembly processes and special product testing to ensure quality and functionality.
• Train installation/project teams, distributors, and engineers from distributors on the proposed systems, as needed.
• Lead project commissioning activities to ensure successful handover.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, BOQs, progress reports, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for reference during project phases.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide technical expertise and support during all project phases, from planning to installation and commissioning.
• Foster collaboration across departments to align project goals and deliverables.

Preferred Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma or bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in the Lighting or Electrical industry is essential.
