Job summary

Aye Finance Limited in Ahmedabad seeks a Business Legal Officer to manage due diligence, title searches, and mortgage documentation for secured lending proposals.

You will review property records, ensure compliance with regulations, collaborate with legal partners and business teams, and maintain records of verification reports.

Qualifications

• LLB preferred.
• 8 months to 1.5 years of experience in Legal, Credit Legal, Property Verification, or Mortgage Legal within NBFCs, Banks, Housing Finance Companies or Legal Firms.
• Strong knowledge of title verification, title search, mortgage documentation, property laws, and land records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal due diligence, title verification, and title search for secured lending proposals.
• Scrutinize property documents, revenue records, sale deeds, conveyance deeds, mutation records, encumbrance certificates, and related documents.
• Assess legal ownership, marketability, and enforceability of property offered as collateral.
• Prepare and review legal reports, title investigation reports, and legal opinions.
• Coordinate with empaneled advocates, valuers, business teams, and customers for document verification and closure of legal observations.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and legal guidelines.
• Support mortgage creation, charge registration, and documentation processes.
• Identify legal risks associated with lending proposals and recommend suitable mitigants.
• Maintain proper records of legal documents and verification reports.

Preferred Background:

Candidates from NBFCs, Banks, HFCs, Loan Against Property (LAP), Home Loan, Mortgage, or Secured Business Loan portfolios will be preferred.
