Job summary

Bisk Farm Saj Food Products Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata seeks an Executive - Legal to manage statutory and legal documentation, draft replies to legal notices, and coordinate with government authorities across India.

The ideal candidate will have a law degree (LL.B.) with relevant FMCG sector experience, and be able to support the Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs in day-to-day matters. The role targets professionals under 35 with a strong compliance mindset.

Qualifications

• Law degree preferred (LL.B.)
• Experience in FMCG legal department or law firm preferred
• Ability to draft replies to statutory notices and legal notices
• Experience coordinating with government authorities across India

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare replies to statutory notices and communications received from government and regulatory authorities
• Coordinate with government departments, statutory authorities, external advocates and legal consultants across India
• Handle statutory documentation, filings, correspondence and compliance activities
• Track legal notices, regulatory communications and deadlines and follow up actions
• Maintain records of legal notices, statutory documents and case-related correspondence
• Support Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs in daily legal and statutory matters

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Executive Legal to manage statutory and legal documentation, draft replies to legal notices, and coordinate with government authorities and legal professionals across India. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in a corporate legal department or a law firm, preferably within the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare replies to various statutory notices, legal notices, and communications received from government and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate with government departments, statutory authorities, external advocates, and legal consultants across different states in India.
• Handle statutory documentation, filings, correspondence, and other compliance-related activities as required by various government authorities.
• Track legal notices, regulatory communications, submission deadlines, and follow-up actions to ensure timely responses.
• Maintain proper records of legal notices, statutory documents, case-related correspondence, and compliance activities.
• Support the Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs in day-to-day legal and statutory matters.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification:Graduation with Honours; a degree in Law (LL.B.) will be preferred.
• Experience:Relevant experience in a legal department of an FMCG company or a law firm is preferred.
