Job summary

Jyoti World Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai with large production facilities near Vapi, Gujarat, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Excellence professional to drive Lean, SMED, TPM, and Scientific Molding across Injection Molding operations.

You will lead cross-functional teams to improve OEE, quality and cost, establish standardized process windows, and mentor Design for Manufacturing initiatives. The role requires 10–18 years in plastics and a strong track record of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Plastics, or Polymer Engineering.
• 10–18 years of experience in Injection Molding or Plastic Manufacturing.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Excellence, or Process Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Drive Lean, SMED, TPM and continuous improvement in injection molding operations.
• Reduce changeover time with SMED and standardized tooling.
• Establish Scientific Molding with standardized parameters and processing windows.
• Improve material handling with moisture control and regrind management.
• Implement real-time monitoring with SPC and predictive maintenance.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules for molds and equipment.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce defects.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Maintenance for DFM.
• Monitor KPIs like OEE, productivity, quality, changeover, rejection, cost.
• Standardize processes and promote data-driven decision making.

Role Overview

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Injection Molding operations by implementing Lean Manufacturing, Scientific Molding, TPM, SMED, and process standardization to improve productivity, quality, cost, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Manufacturing Excellence initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, SMED, TPM, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Reduce machine changeover time through SMED and standardized tooling and setup practices.
• Establish and sustain Scientific Molding processes with standardized process parameters and validated processing windows.
• Improve material handling by implementing moisture control, regrind management, and process discipline.
• Implement real-time process monitoring using SPC, cavity pressure monitoring, and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for molds and critical equipment to improve reliability.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and process variation.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Maintenance teams to drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and process optimization.
• Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs including OEE, productivity, quality, changeover time, rejection, and manufacturing cost.
• Standardize manufacturing processes, develop SOPs, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the shop floor.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Plastics, or Polymer Engineering.
• 10–18 years of experience in Injection Molding or Plastic Manufacturing.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Excellence, or Process Engineering.

Preferred Certifications

• Scientific Molding (RJG/Paulson or equivalent)
