Purpose of the role

The Lead Technical Architect for the BTFE mobile application will be responsible for defining, designing, and implementing the technical vision & architecture for the application. This role requires a deep understanding of mobile application development, cloud technologies, and security best practices.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead Architectural Design and Implementation: Define, design, and implement complex, scalable, and secure technical solutions across multiple business units, aligning with overall technology direction and strategic objectives.
  • Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to mid- and junior-level engineers.
  • Technology Strategy and Innovation: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, recommending solutions to address business needs and improve efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on technical solutions and project delivery.
  • Performance Optimization and Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and critical technical issues.
  • Technical Debt Management: Assess and manage technical debt, proposing and implementing strategies for mitigation and improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Extensive experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, inspiring others through technical expertise and strategic guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful results across multiple teams and projects, connecting and aligning cross-functional efforts.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deep expertise in mobile application development, including experience with native (iOS and Android) and/or cross-platform frameworks.
  • Extensive experience with database technologies, including both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven ability to design and implement highly available and scalable systems, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native design patterns.
  • Experience with security best practices for mobile applications and cloud-based systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for mobile application development.
