Job summary

DTCC in Chennai, India is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to drive middleware modernization and secure, reliable platforms. You will design, implement, and support OpenShift and Kubernetes based deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS-based infrastructure while ensuring performance and security.

Join a hybrid work model with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, collaborate across teams, and contribute to scalable, resilient software systems for global capital markets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Containerize applications with OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot onboarding, deployments and incidents for Web Middleware.
• Develop and deploy apps using Ansible, Python, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, and GitLab in CI/CD.
• Support onboarding of new apps using Chef and CI/CD pipelines; manage SSL lifecycle.
• Orchestrate middleware installation and configuration for seamless integration.
• Utilize AWS Cloud Services to manage infrastructure.
• Monitor performance and apply security patches for servers.

The Impact you will have in this role:

The Systems Engineering family is responsible for the entire technical effort to evolve and verify solutions that satisfy client needs. The primary focus is centered on reducing risk and improving the efficiency, performance, stability, security, and quality of all systems and platforms. The Systems Engineering role specializes in the analysis, evaluation, design, testing, implementation, support, and debugging of all middleware, mainframe, and distributed platforms, tools, and systems of the firm.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Leverage OpenShift/Kubernetes to containerize applications for scalable and portable deployments.
• Help troubleshooting OpenShift/Kubernetes application onboarding, deployments, problems and incidents related to Web Middleware
• Designing, developing, and deploying the applications by utilizing Ansible, Python, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins and GitLab within a robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Support the Web Middleware Technology Team in onboarding new applications using Chef and CI/CD pipelines and work on lifecycle management of SSL certificates.
• Orchestrating the seamless installation and configuration of middleware software systems for the smooth integration and operation.
• Utilize AWS Cloud Services to efficiently manage and support various aspects of the organization's infrastructure.
• Life cycle management of SSL certificates like creation, renewal, retention, and revocation
• Ensuring the application of necessary security patches to the servers to safeguard against potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborating with various teams on projects, propose solutions, and address the technical issues.
• Defining performance standards for the middleware systems and continuously monitoring their performance to ensure they meet established benchmarks.
• Modify the existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
• Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
