Capgemini Invent is seeking a Lead Solution Architect / Enterprise Architect to lead end-to-end OT, IT, Cloud, IoT/IIoT, Data, and AI architecture for manufacturing, energy & utilities, and asset-intensive industries. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead governance through standards, design reviews, debt control, and reusable patterns.

Job description

We are seeking a Lead Solution Architect / Enterprise Architect to lead end-to-end OT, IT, Cloud, IoT/IIoT, Data, and AI architecture for manufacturing, energy & utilities, and asset-intensive industries. The role focuses on secure OT/IT integration, scalable solution design, and governance-driven delivery to achieve business impact. The candidate should have strong industry experience across manufacturing and asset-intensive sectors (FMCG, Pharma, Energy & Utilities, Metals & Mining etc.) with proven ability in executive storytelling, architecture diagrams, decision logs, and technical governance effectively to both business and technical stakeholders.

• Define enterprise and domain architectures across OT/IT, data, integration, security, and applications, with target-state roadmaps aligned to business goals.
• Manage Enterprise/solution architecture reference patterns, NFRs, trade-offs, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization
• Lead architecture governance through standards, reference architectures, design reviews, technical debt control, and reusable patterns.
• Understand SCADA/DCS/PLC basics, industrial networks, historians, MES/MOM, and asset/reliability context.
• Have strong knowledge in Integration: APIs, event streaming, messaging, middleware, and data pipelines.
• Translate business needs into architecture decisions, balancing trade-offs across build vs buy, edge vs cloud, performance, cost, cybersecurity, and data residency.
• Architect secure integration across SCADA/DCS/PLC, historians, MES/MOM, EAM/CMMS, ERP, QMS/LIMS, and enterprise data platforms.
• Define secure connectivity patterns using OPC UA, MQTT, AMQP, edge gateways, time-series ingestion, and event streaming across shopfloor and enterprise systems.
• Design resilient architectures for high availability, low latency, and reliable operations across plants and sites.

Cloud/Edge Data & Integration Architecture

• Architect hybrid and multi-cloud platforms with secure landing zones, identity, networking, observability, DR, and cost optimization.
• Define modern integration patterns across APIs, event streaming, messaging, and service boundaries.
• Build industrial data architectures for analytics, covering contextualization, multi-model data, quality, lineage, and governance.
• Bring strong expertise in industrial edge architecture, including gateways, industrial PCs, edge microservices, and containerization.

AI / GenAI / Agentic AI Enablement

• Lead AI enablement architecture including MLOps/LLMOps, model governance, monitoring, and scalable deployment (cloud + edge).
• Architect GenAI solutions with guardrails, model monitoring and responsible AI.
• Design human-in-the-loop Agentic AI workflows for orchestration, automation, auditability, and safe execution.
• Evaluate, select, and integrate COTS products (IIoT platforms, historians, MES/MOM, EAM/APM, QMS, analytics platforms) with custom services and microservices where required.
• Lead RFP/RFI technical responses, vendor assessments, PoCs, solution demonstrations, and technical due diligence.

Security, Compliance & Reliability by Design

• Embed OT/IT security controls across segmentation, identity, patching, vulnerability management, and secure remote access.
• Design architecture that meets regulatory and operational needs for auditability, data integrity, retention, resilience, and disaster recovery.

Your Qualifications

• 10-16+ years in solution/enterprise architecture with strong exposure to OT/IT convergence in manufacturing, utilities, energy, or other asset-intensive industries.
• Bachelor's/master's in engineering / computer science / Electronics / Industrial or equivalent experience.
• MBA or an equivalent qualification from a top tier/reputed institute.
• Proven experience architecting solutions across edge/IIoT, cloud, integration, data platforms, and industrial applications (MES/MOM, historians, EAM/APM, SCADA/DCS).
• Strong stakeholder management across Plant/Operations, Engineering, IT, OT security, Data/AI, and vendors.
• Experience across diverse manufacturing sectors such as Automotive, Industrial Equipment, FMCG, Pharma, Electronics, Energy, Utilities or Mining/ Metals, delivering scalable and complex industrial solutions.
• Good communication and executive storytelling, architecture diagrams, decision logs, and technical governance.
• Frameworks/standards: TOGAF/ArchiMate, ISA-95/IEC 62264, IEC 62443, NIST/Zero Trust concepts.(Preferred)
• Experience with digital twin, APM/RCM, predictive maintenance, computer vision quality inspection, and energy optimization.(Preferred)
