United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Corporate Technology group in India. You will be a core technical contributor delivering secure, scalable software solutions and guiding cross-functional teams across multiple platforms and business functions.

You will lead design reviews, optimize production code, and champion AI-assisted development practices, ensuring secure handling of data and adherence to architectural standards.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 14+ years applied experience
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Strong SQL/PLSQL and data management skills with analytics exposure
• Datawarehousing, ETL/ELT skills and programming knowledge
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery within the SDLC
• Experience leading AI-assisted development and delivery tools adoption across teams

As a Lead Software Engineer at the company within the Corporate Technology , you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems


• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others


• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems


• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture


• Leads team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and SDLC/TLM automation to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational outcomes, while setting expectations for human validation, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and consistent use of reusable patterns across teams.


• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation and support capacity unlock initiatives.


• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 14+ years applied experience


• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability


• Strong SQL / PLSQL and Data Management skills and strong Analytics skills with exposure on BI Tools


• Datawarehousing, ETL / ELT skills and advanced in one or more programming language(s)


• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods and proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle


• Experience leading responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools across engineering teams, including defining ways of working (review/validation expectations), measuring outcomes, and ensuring secure handling of data.


• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, resiliency/security implications, and governance expectations; ability to coach engineers on compliant and effective usage


• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security


• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)


• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems and practical cloud native experience.
