Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional .NET development experience with cloud exposure (AWS preferred).

• Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and data modeling with SQL/NoSQL.
• Hands-on with AWS services, Docker+Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Software Engineer/Principal Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance applications using Microsoft .NET, Python and React technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs. Responsibilities:

• Drive architecture and technical direction for a major product area, with minimal oversight.
• Influence technical standards across the team.
• Design, develop, and maintain AWS cloud based applications using React JS, .NET framework and related technologies (e.g., ASP.NET, .NET Core), and Python.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with team members to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Develop APIs and integrate third-party services where required.
• Ensure software quality through comprehensive testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Advocate for test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure solutions remain current.
• Provide technical support and resolve application-related issues as needed.
• Evaluate AI-assisted development practices (e.g., AI pair-programming, automated code review, test generation) to raise engineering productivity and code quality across the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of professional experience in .NET development with at least 2 years in a cloud-based environment, preferably AWS.
• Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework (including .NET Core) with current hands on experience in .NET version 5+. Knowledge of .NET version 4+ is a plus.
• Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API development.
• Proficient in Core Python, Flask, Django, FastAPI, ORM, Async programming, Scripting and automation.
• Hands on experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands on experience in at least one major RDBMS: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc. and NoSQL: MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc., database design, and writing complex queries.
• Experience in AWS Services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, Aurora, ECS, Lambda, etc.
• Experience in containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as ECS, Kubernetes.
• Experience working with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling).
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) across the SDLC - spec-to-code generation, automated code review, test generation, debugging, and documentation - with a track record of measurable productivity gains.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket, Git).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice to have:

• Experience with various ETL tools such as Pentaho, AWS Glue, Keboola, etc.
• Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks, SageMaker, etc.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
• Microsoft Certifications relevant to the job requirements.
