Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Chennai to deliver Java full-stack solutions with Angular. You will develop microservices-based systems, connect front-end and back-end layers, and raise technical standards across the lifecycle.

You will lead development using Java 8, Spring Boot, and Angular, build REST APIs, and ensure scalable, reliable software. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience with modern development practices.
• Hands-on 4+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8, Spring, and Spring Boot for back-end services.
• Deep expertise in Angular along with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for UI development.
• Working understanding of REST APIs plus PostgreSQL and Oracle database systems.
• Solid background in microservices architectures and cloud-based applications.
• Practical familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as Git.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve technical challenges across design, development, and production phases.
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts and collaborate effectively.
• English proficiency at minimum B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level.
