The Lead Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability across our systems and processes. Also, responsible for leading initiatives to enhance automation frameworks and best practices, spearheading innovation through Generative AI-based solutions for automated test script creation.

This position reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and is part of the Digital Platform – Software Engineering Practice team located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Understand the overall requirements of the product/platform and specifically integration and interoperability scenarios across products. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Design and implement automation frameworks for testing and operational workflows.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation scripts and frameworks. Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Document automation processes and provide training to relevant stakeholders.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of experience in the software industry with prior experience as automation engineer
• Programming and Scripting knowledge: Proficiency in languages like C#, JavaScript, SQL.
• Automation and CI/CD Tools: Hands‑on experience with tools such as Test Complete, Selenium or similar. Knowledge of tools like Postman or REST Assured for API testing. Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Testing Frameworks: Experience with JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
• Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD): Knowledge of Cucumber or SpecFlow.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel as needed

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Have prior experience in playing scrum master role
• Familiarity with JMeter or LoadRunner for performance testing
• Experience in working with Generative AI test tools
