Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to deliver data-driven governance and reference-data platforms within the Chief Technology Office. Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Experience delivering software in Agile sprint-based teams
  • Strong understanding of asset management, technical governance, or reference-data-driven platforms
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SQL, and data-intensive application development
  • ETL / ingestion and data pipeline thinking, including schema/data handling and cross-system feeds
  • Experience building UI dashboards, reports, and insight-oriented features
  • Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs

  • Create UI dashboards, reports, and insight-oriented features
  • Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.

    • Robust testing, debugging, and production support mindset

    • AWS and cloud-native platform experience

    • GenAI / LLM or enterprise search experience

    • Observability, security, and authentication experience
