Job summary

Right Advisors Private Limited is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and maintain Windows desktop applications with hardware integration for medical devices. You will participate in all stages of product development, from concept through deployment, using Agile practices.

The ideal candidate has 9–13 years of experience in desktop software, strong C++ skills, and familiarity with Qt/QML, and excels in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, CS, or related field with 9–13 years of Windows desktop app experience.
• Minimum 8 years of desktop software development experience.
• Experience with GUI design and development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in the medical device industry or another regulated field.
• Experience with design patterns and object-oriented design.
• Experience with networking protocols.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with security and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve existing medical products and develop new medical products.
• Design, develop, review code, implement, debug, and test desktop apps with hardware integration.
• Determine design requirements for software systems.
• Generate documentation for software projects to support regulatory and business needs.
• Participate in all stages of product development from vision to deployment.
• Use industry design patterns and OO design to build high-quality software.
• Apply Agile methodologies to manage development.
• Coordinate with team members and manage own assignments.
• Strengthen industry knowledge to improve product quality.
• Ensure system improvements are implemented and monitored for efficiency.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Design, develop, conduct codereviews, implement, debug, test, and debug desktop applications with hardwareintegration.
• Determine design requirements for softwaresystems.
• Generate documentation for softwareprojects to support regulatory and business needs.
• Participate in all stages ofproduct development: including refining product vision, gathering needs,refining requirements, project planning, system design, coding, testing,release, deployment, and support.
• Utilize experience and educationto build high quality, maintainable software following industrydesign/architectural patterns.
• Use Agile methodologies to manageapplication development.
• Manage completion of own workassignments and coordinates work with others.
• Continues to strengthen industryknowledge and use that knowledge to improve the quality of our products.
• Ensures that system improvementsare successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computerengineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with 9 to 13 yearsof experience in designing and developing Windows desktop applications usingC++, Windows libraries, hardware integration, such as Qt, QML.
