Job summary

Dexur in Hyderabad is looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Data Engineering) to own end-to-end architecture, drive scalable ETL pipelines, and guide platform decisions.

You will collaborate with data, product, and DevOps teams, mentor engineers, and ensure timely delivery of features while maintaining performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong experience in Python, PostgreSQL, Bash, Docker and AWS.
• Expert in Building the Scalable ETL Pipelines, Airflow (good to have), Independent systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system architecture, driving key design decisions for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Define architectural principles, standards, and best practices across backend (Python/Django) frontend (React) and integration layers.
• Lead architecture and design reviews, providing technical direction for high-quality, maintainable solutions.
• Drive data-informed decision-making, balancing performance, cost, and complexity for optimal outcomes.
• Architect scalable, fault-tolerant systems in Linux environments with high availability and resilience.
• Promote cloud-native and serverless architectures to minimize overhead and optimize resources.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and lead system-wide optimizations including caching and asynchronous processing.
• Mentor and guide engineers on architectural best practices, system design, and performance optimization.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Conduct code reviews, design sessions, and ensure CI/CD, testing, versioning best practices.
• Translate product and business requirements into technical roadmaps and actionable tasks.
• Track and ensure on-time delivery of features with high-quality standards.
• Act as a technical spokesperson in cross-functional discussions and resolve dependencies across teams.

  • Oversee the design and optimization of ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration, transformation, and loading across systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience
